The following ten seventies retro fonts and typefaces are perfect to bring your graphic designs to life.

I don’t know about you, but I am all about the retro trend in design and fashion that is happening right now. I have honestly always been into it, so it’s been awesome to see it back in style. I looked through one of my favorite sites for creative assets that support designers by selling their designs, Creative Market, to bring you some of my current favorites. I included a variety of styles ranging from retro display fonts, to seventies serif typefaces, and even some psychedelic fonts to perfectly fit any vibe. I hope you find something you love, or at the very least, inspires you!

  1. Tangerine

This font is very unique in the way the letters were designed. They aren’t copy cats from the 70’s area, but definitely give a nod and give me all the nostalgic vibes. I love how the designer described his inspiration “The bold curves pay homage to the big hair and bell-bottoms of the golden era”. Tangerine comes with unique lower and uppercase plus numbers, punctuation & multilingual letters.

2. Wicked Hearts

This chunky serif font stole my heart when I first saw it. It is a modern take on a retro classic with an edge, as the designer describes it. Wicked Hearts comes with two fonts, regular and italic. It is also packed with alternates and ligatures to really make your design something special.

3. Lovely

This cute retro, curly script font can stand on its own or pair nicely with modern typefaces that you already love.

4. Lucidity

Lucidity is a hand-drawn typeface that contains three fonts and several extras such as stylistic alternates and ligatures. It has so much versatility that it will work for anything your creative mind can dream up!

5. Ramadone

This is one of the most fun and versatile retro bold script typefaces I have seen in a while! Not only does it bring you back in time, but it comes with two fonts; Regular and Extrude. It also comes with uppercase & lowercase, numbers and punctuation, multilingual, ligatures, alternates and swashes. It’s a beautiful typeface that I know you’ll love.

6. Popstone

The designer of this typeface claims that it is being used to create “happy themed designs”, and I must say, I do feel happy looking at this groovy, bubbly, and funky retro style font. It contains 12 FONTS, everything from thin to black.

7. The Beardy

Beardy, you’re so similar to the Ramdone typeface but oh so different. If Ramdone wasn’t quite what you’re looking for, I would definitely look at Beardy. It isn’t as versatile, but it is groovy, retro and absolutely gorgeous!

8. Seventies

This just might be the exact groovy seventies typeface you would visualize in your beautiful creative mind. It comes with 6 fonts; shine, printed, regular, shine solo and shade regular. Definitely check this one out!

9. Far Out!

Hi Far Out! You’re cute and groovy! The designer said they were inspired by the Flower Children of the 60’s and 70’s and it includes 22 hand drawn graphics to really bring your vision to life. We love that!

10. Summer of Love

I had to put another psychedelic font in here for my own love of them (and of course, to give you variety!). This might be more 60’s than 70’s, but we’re going with it. It has the right about of groovy-ness to give any retro design the special tough it needs.
